Retail Designer and Customer Service

This position works directly with our retail customers, from waiting on walk-ins, taking orders over the phone, and designing the daily deliveries, pick-ups, wrapped bouquets, corsages, and planters. Watering and display of the plants also fall under the duties of this job.

While experience in the industry is always helpful, I do not require experience in floral design, rather just a creative who listens well and learns quickly. Someone who can follow a recipe and design sheet while also having their own creative instincts. This could start as more of an apprenticeship and eventually grow into a full-on designer position.

This person needs to learn and remember our regular customers, be helpful and friendly, hold true to the New Leaf design style and brand, and share in our company's core values.

Delivery Driver and General Labor

This position requires a driver's license. We provide the delivery vehicle, but this employee will need their own phone and to be able to navigate around NKY and Cincinnati with their GPS.
When making daily deliveries, expected qualities are promptness, politeness, and of course to follow the rules of the road. This person will write the cards for and box up the arrangements to be delivered.
When not making flower deliveries, this person will be helpful around the shop by sweeping, washing vases and buckets and keeping the sink clear of clutter. Cleaning in general including the floors, windows, shelves, design countertops, etc. Prepping vases and other containers to be designed in, picking up flowers from the markets, filling vases and buckets and processing the flowers that come in. Cleaning flower stems, filling water tubes and pricing merchandise.

Wedding Designer

This position requires experience as a wedding florist. This includes being able to follow recipes and design sheets to create centerpieces, ceremony decor, floral installations, bouquets, corsages, boutonneres, flower crowns, etc.

This employee will consult with brides, create proposals, including digital renderings.

This designer should be up to date on current wedding trends, colors, and designs while holding true to the New Leaf brand and style.

This employee will go on wedding/event deliveries and set ups, as well as end of night tear down and rental retrieval, so they need to be able to lift heavy items, load things in and out of the delivery vehicle, and be able to remain cool and calm in a fast paced, sometimes stressful, wedding day environment.
